The Dinosaur Discovery
Center was built to focus on hands on avtivities because kids learn
by doing.
It is a fun and lively children's activity center and museum that is
family friendly, affordable and exciting!
Our activities are modeled after a hands on approach to encourange discovery
and exploration.

Our Education Director has put much thought into planning and
designing hands on learning exhibits for the Dinosaur Discovery Center
that will encourage young minds to explore the prehistoric world in
a fun and engaging environment.
Her training, experience, research and 16 years in the field of education
have brought to life the excitement of learning. Her concept and design
principals have been centered around bringing all the standard school
subjects together into a fun environment that covers prehistoric life
like a hands on unit study.

There
are so many great things to do, discover and explore that children
will be sure to have a great time! She has insisted that the fundamental
concept of our exhibits be FUN and hands on. The whole time we were
planning and building she would say, "Children learn by doing"
and she has often insisted, "no way, that's boring". Her
goal was to build great hands on activities for kids in Tucson.
Yes, we include science, reading, math, art, language, history, life
skills, technology, occupational education and critical thinking but
our hope is that they don't feel like they are learning. If they feel
like they are explorers on a journey, then we have succeeded. We live
by the concept that learning should be fun and engaging. We would
love to put in so much more but we ran out of room! |
